ABOUT
ME
A Journey into Painting and Pixel Art.
During the 2020 lockdown, in a small apartment in the heart of Paris, I discovered the joy of drawing and painting. With only a few sketchbooks, pencils, and some paint, I began exploring this form of expression with the sole intention of passing the time and letting my imagination flow. What started as a simple pastime quickly turned into a true passion, a way to escape and explore visual worlds that resonate with me. Later, pixel art came to complement my painting practice, a natural continuation that allowed me to explore new creative horizons. Today, I am creating an animated pixel art series that will lead to a series of NFTs, a new way to share and collect my work. I am eager to share these creations, simply, as they were born: spontaneous and sincere. I’ve also created an online shop to offer prints of my drawings and paintings. As a thank you for purchasing one of my prints on fine art paper, dibond, or framed, I will gift you an NFT. It’s a way for me to continue this journey and allow those who appreciate my work to take a piece of it with them. Welcome to this space where I humbly share a more intimate side of my artistic journey. Stéphanie Rebeccu.
THE PROCESS
Often, to reach a safe harbour, one must first lose their way.
THE PROCESS To create is to play with the invisible: to attempt to bring forth something beautiful, meaningful, sincere—something that simply longs to exist, regardless of the final outcome. This endeavor, often exhilarating, quickly transforms into an inner journey fraught with obstacles: chaos sets in, doubt creeps in, and one may even feel a sense of disgust toward their own creativity, perceived as inconsistent, meaningless, even useless. The fruit of this pursuit rarely meets expectations: it disappoints, it falters, it seems to lack beauty. Then, doubt takes over, bringing with it a host of uncertainties about how to approach the resulting work. Yet, this very doubt, far from being an obstacle, becomes a guide. It opens a clearer path toward understanding the purpose and destiny of this work. The creative process, as chaotic and thankless as it may be, is nothing less than the path leading to light. In the end, the journey was worth it.

NATURE MORTE
The art of painting
Painting and reading are the only things that truly soothe my mind. The outcome doesn’t matter — it’s the calm they bring that counts.
Simplicity is somehow essentially describing the purpose and place of an object and product. The absence of clutter is just a clutter-free product. That's not simple.
"I consider pixel art an extraordinary way of creating. It took discovering the world of cryptocurrency and the NFT craze for me to test, erase, restart, and finally find my own identity. I believe that my pixel art portraits perfectly align with my style and creative vision. It's also a form of creative addiction."

“La peinture est pour moi le moyen d'oublier la vie.”
"Overthinking can quickly become an unbearable burden. The anxiety of the world subtly affects mental health, leading to an inner collapse. Only calm, art, and silence provide the chance to regain true peace."

"Drawing with Indian ink and a simple grey marker makes you realize that simplicity is often more interesting than the excessive juxtaposition of elements and paint. Needless to say, this also applies to life."
